Kimberly Singleton is the current Treasurer of the Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Howard University and was employed as the first African American woman engineer at Con Edison of New York.  She later obtained an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and worked for over 20 years in financial management for ViacomCBS and Fox.

Ms. Singleton is the owner of Sing Sing 2000 Entertainment (SS2K), a film and video production company. Along with providing video production services for clients, her company produces the weekly television program “Consider It Blacklit” that highlights television programs, films and stage plays by and about people of color.

Ms. Singleton serves on the Board of the Reel Sisters Film Festival, the first Oscar-qualifying film festival focused on women of color.  She is an active member of New York Women in Film and Television and the African American Film Critics Association, the largest organization of Black film critics around the world.   Ms. Singleton is also a past international president of the Howard University Alumni Association, where she spearheaded programming and fundraising initiatives.
