Board Trustee
My name is Rosalyn Graves Wilson, I have a Masters in Community Health Education and Supervision from Columbia University and a BS in Nursing from Long Island University. I am a retirement Regional Health Manager from a Fortune 500 company, where I managed the health needs for 40,000 employees in seven states with seven medical offices. After retiring from that position, I was a Clinical Instructor at a Nursing Home/Rehabilitation Center, headed a study at Einstein Hospital, SOL (Study of Latinos), and taught at New York University in the Nursing department for one year.
I was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Tau Omega Charitable Trust Fund, Inc. from January 2015 until April 2021. Prior to that, I served as the Vice-Chairman. I have been an active member of Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for 41 years, where I served as President, Treasurer, Health Committee Chair, Member at Large, and Chapter Hostess just to name a few of the positions that I have held.
I currently also serve as the President of the Harlem Hospital Auxiliary Board, where we do fundraising in order to support projects and/or equipment to improve patient care. I have served on several health related boards and organizations in the community during the last 45 years.
I have always been extremely involved with my community. Over the years, I
volunteered with the Red Cross as a CPR/BLS/First Aid Instructor and AIDS Educator, while I was a member of the Disaster Action Team and headed the Harlem Area Team for several years. I volunteered on several high profile disasters including 911, where I assisted in putting recovery teams together; Hurricane Sandy, where I worked out of headquarters to oversee the health of the many volunteers that came to the City to assist us and running numerous shelters during snowstorms over the years. I am also an active member of the Medical Reserve Corps for NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene/NYS. These duties include giving mass vaccinations, assisting with community health fairs, educational training/presentations, and training for mass disasters just to name a few things.
I am an active and financial supporter of my Harlem based church, where I am on the Medical, Health, Women’s, and Hospitality Ministry.
