Kim Eatman Muhammad was born and raised in Harlem, NYC. She earned a Bachelor.
Degree in African African American History at Lehman College, attended the City College of New York for her Master's in Childhood Education, and is currently a Graduate student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, studying Environmental Science and Engineering. Passionate about the progression of her people, Sister Kim was awarded a New York City Council Citation of Appreciation in Community Service for her work in Event Programming/Management at one of Harlem’s Historic Parks, St. Nicholas Park. There she facilitated programming promoting environmental sustainability, literacy, the arts and wellness. These initiatives united families and community members throughout the area, allowing her to develop great relationships with the NYC Parks Department and other local organizations.
Kim Eatman served over 15 years in Healthcare Administration before answering her calling as a Middle School Math Science Educator. Her goal is to ensure that children
residing in inner cities receive a truthful and quality education where their confidence and
critical thinking skills are nurtured. In her freetime Sister Kim enjoys spending time with loved ones, nature, traveling, gardening, painting, yoga, learning survival techniques and new languages. To the tremendous African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child”, Sister Kim wholeheartedly adds “It takes collective responsibility and dedication to maintain the village”.
